YES. The NY DMV says:
Your pick-up truck can qualify for passenger class plates if:
- the pick-up truck does not have any business advertisements, and
- the pick-up is used exclusively for non-commercial purposes
We can transfer your old plates to your new vehicle. The crucial requirement is that the Insurance ID card must read, “Replacement Vehicle” otherwise we will not be able to process it.
NY allows for certain situations where the Owner and the registrant can be a different person or different person and Organization. Please call us and we can explain these scenarios to you.
NO. There are a few instances that would prohibit you from registering a vehicle. Some are, Insurance lapses, Child support issues, EZ Pass violations, traffic violations, etc. Please inform us about those in advance.
YES. You need:
Driver’s License(6 points of ID total)
MV82
Previous Registration or Picture of license plate or MV3 Renewal
For non-passenger vehicles, we also require the Insurance ID Card to register a vehicle.
Registrations we are able to reprint here in our office.
Titles we cannot print here, but we can order one from the DMV to ship to you.
YES. Simply bring all of the paperwork with your NY driver’s license and NY Insurance ID card.
YES, we have the plates and registration here in our location. You will get them if we can finalize the transaction. The whole process takes 10-30 minutes depending on documentation and how busy we are.
NO. We are not able to do these changes at our location.
YES. We can accept most types of plates you might want to turn in, Passenger, Taxi, Commercial, Vanity, etc. We will provide an official FS6T form for you to show your insurance provider or to the DMV proving that you have turned in your plates.
The DMV requires a bill of sale to register my newly bought car. Can I bring it to you without this?
NO. Whatever forms the DMV requires, we require. We need to send in complete paperwork in order for it to be accepted by the DMV.
We need:
Driver’s License(6 points of ID)
Insurance ID Card (Effective date must be within 45 days prior to the day of registration. ID cards with a future date are not able to register until the effective date.
TITLE signed by the seller and the buyer
Bill of Sale signed by the buyer and seller
MV82 filled out by the Buyer
DTF802 filled out by the buyer and in some cases, the seller/Donator
NO. We can register your car, truck, motorcycle, boat, ATV or even Jet ski. We can not register every vehicle. Taxis, for example, must be registered from the DMV. Please call to confirm first if we can register your alternative vehicle.
YES. We can get you a new title that shows there is no lien on the vehicle. Simply bring all of the relevant paperwork proving this and we can order you a new title.
NO. We do not set the prices that the DMV charges, nor can we alter them. We will not do anything that goes against DMV regulations.
